As some may know, father Viatcheslav's work visa expires at the end of March 2007.
Considering the fact that the Parish Council, after long deliberations, did not think it possible to extend the visa for a period beyond May of 2007, Bishop Gabriel made the decision to assign father Viatcheslav to another parish effective April 1st, 2007.
At the present time Vladyka doesn't have another priest for the parish of Blessed Xenia. Because of that, most probably, there will be no divine services at her church in April.

In connection with the signing of the "Act of Canonical Communion" by Metropolitan Laurus scheduled for May 17th of this year, the owner of our church, Kanata Orthodox Church Foundation, has addressed the parish, in the person of the rector, with a letter, in which it reminds the parish about the conditions mutually accepted by the parish and the Foundation during the building of the church. According to these conditions, the Foundation reserves the right to terminate the agreement with the parish about the use of the church property in the event of the recognition of the authority of the Moscow Patriarchate by the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad. In order to discuss and address this issue, two meetings are scheduled as follows: an information one, for February the 18th, and an Extraordinary Parish one, for February the 25th. Both the meetings will take place in the parish hall, after the Divine Liturgy.
