June 25

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

Please be advised that with the return of Father Igor DUBROV and Matushka Natalia to Latvia this week, His Grace, Bishop Andronik has given his blessing for the following priests to preside over the Saturday All-Night Vigil and Sunday Divine Liturgy services for the following two weeks

Saturday 21 - Sunday 22 June 2008
Fr.Victor, DOBROFF, Secretary, Administrative Council, North American District, Provisional Higher Church Authority, Russian Orthodox Church Abroad, New York, NY. As a key member of the Administrative Council of the North American District under Bishop Andronik, Fr. Victor is looking forward to visiting and serving at our parish.

Saturday 28 June - Sunday 29 June 2008
Fr. Daniel MESCHTER. Rector, St Innocent Orthodox Mission Pottstown, PA. Fr. Daniel, a graduate of Holy Trinity Seminary, Jordanville, has been a priest for some 15 years within ROCOR until 17 May 2007. He will be visiting us for the weekend with his wife, Matushka Irene (KIZENKO) and their two teenage boys. There is a slight chance other members of his parish will be visiting as well. A light luncheon will be served following Sunday Divine Liturgy and contributions would be welcomed.

Please plan to attend these services, considering the substantial effort on the part of the visiting clergy and the expense to the parish in supporting their travel to help us. Please also consider how you can contribute.. Following this period, it is anticipated that Bishop Andronik will have overseen the finalization of arrangements for an interim priest to be assigned to St. Xenia until a Rector can be confirmed.

January 18

It is with great sadness that we learned that Georgi Mihailovich Sayig peacefully passed away in his sleep on Friday, 18 January, 2008, at the age of 82.

Georgi Mihailovich conducted the Saint Nicholas Russian Orthodox Cathedral (Montreal, Quebec) Choir for well over 40 years and created (hand wrote) one of the most extensive Russian Orthodox musical libraries of the time.

May his memory be eternal and may he rest in peace with the Lord.
